Spin-Off

Oh crap, I hear some people say...

Spin-offs are usually the nails in coffins to some things. Mine, however, may be slightly different.

While writing the Beneath A Broken Sky trilogy, I come up with a bunch of ideas that are good on their own, but can't fit into the existing books, or be spawned off into new novels on their own. As such, I am preparing to develop a spin-off novel which is a collection of short stories based on the universe discribed in Beneath A Broken Sky. However, saying that, these stories may not necessarily be in the "same" universe, but rather an alternate one. There may be similaries, character cameos, situations which shed another light onto what's been described in the trilogy, and so on and so forth.

As I progress with ideas and development, I will update you on what's going on.
At first, all I have is the tentative name of this book, as well as some ideas of the stories contained within it.

So the title of this spin-off novel will keep the Beneath A Broken Sky headline title. It's specific title will be called "Dispersal". The use of an English word is on purpose. I don't want to use Latin words for this version, and the word "dispersal" itself is a perfect connotation to the themes within.

The title of one of the short stories will be called "Relative".
Another title will be called "Endurance".
There's also a tentative story called "Instinct" or something like that.

RELATIVE - Explores the situations of three scientists who believe the universe around them isn't quite right. One of the scientists is already in an institution, while a second is arrested on terrorism charges based on his blog writings. The third, meanwhile, has found some strange details about himself and is figuring out answers. There's cameos from Raymond Landow and Dmitri Tirklov - but not how you would expect - and there's a nice realisation along the way of how easy it could be for our world to change instantly or simply no longer exist without anyone realising.

ENDURANCE - The space-shuttle Endurance and the characters on board have an experience which is not described in great detail at the end of Book 1 because the continuation of the plot-point is not necessary. But this particular short story will go into that detail, and describe what happened to our characters after the anomaly was created near the Field and the way their lives went on.

INSTINCT - To be advised.
